A real turning point for Terra Botanica. Fourteen years after its opening, the Angevin plant park will move from public to private and at the same time benefit from a big financial boost.

Property of the Council Department of Maine-et- (up to 52%) and the city d’ (48%), Terra Botanica was put up for sale in March 2024. The buyer is a group based in Saint-Malo, already owner of around twenty theme parks in Europe, including Planète Sauvage, the Grand Aquarium of Touraine, the Mini-Châteaux Park and the Zoo de la Flèche. Amount of investment: 59 million euros.

Pour Florence Dabin the president of the Maine-et-Loire Department Council, also president of the Public Interest Group, “the arrival of this renowned operator will allow Terra Botanica to take a new step in its development”.

Among the busiest parks in

With 587,000 visitors registered this year, Terra Botanica records a increase of 6% compared to 2023. It is now ranked second among theme parks in Pays-de-la-Loire, behind the Puy-du-Fou, and is among the top 10 in the country.
