The 13th edition of the industry week takes place from November 18 to 24, 2024.
Since 2011, this national operation has been intended to promote the industry and its professions to the general public, and more particularly to pupils, students and job seekers.
This new edition contributes to creating bridges between the professional world and education, and to fighting against persistent clichés about the industry and its professions, with fun and educational events organized throughout the national territory. It is also an opportunity to highlight the State's mechanisms to support companies in meeting the new challenges of the industry.
Organized by the General Directorate of Enterprises (DGE) since 2011, Industry Week has several ambitions:
- Fight against preconceived ideas about the industry: Industry Week allows us to showcase an innovative French industry, which is reestablishing itself sustainably in the territories, at the heart of the ecological transition and the transformation of the economy;
- Promote professional orientation towards careers in industry: Industry Week is a unique opportunity for young people to discover the many career opportunities offered by the industry. It is also an opportunity for industrial players to recruit, at a time when industrial companies are reporting nearly 260,000 2024 recruitment projects, 60% of which are “difficult” recruitments ;
- Promote diversity in industrial professions: Indeed, the sector is struggling to become more feminized, with women representing only 30% of employees in the sector.
In the Marne, 74 events are organized and can be viewed on an interactive map accessible to all.
