After a year and a half of absence, the athlete is back in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and hopes to break the women’s record in the sporting event.

Based in Marseille since October 2022, since leaving the archipelago Fanny Da Silvia has had time to perfect her stride and improve her times. On Saturday, the athlete will participate for the 9th time in the 25 km of Miquelon, a race that she particularly likes.

Since her first participation, she has continued to improve her personal timer. Of 2h04’23” in 2014 to 1h40’59’ in 2022, Fanny hopes to do better this year. Beat your own time but also and above all break the women’s record for the event set in 2017 by Anne-Claire Dolivet in 1h39’59”.

The challenge is significant but within the reach of Fanny who now runs year-round and trains with the Olympique de Marseille club. Since leaving the archipelago, Fanny has also gained experience by participating in other races in France and abroad. She was also able to benefit from the advice of high-level athletes.

Saturday June 29 Fanny Da Silva has an appointment with the 40th edition of the 25km of Miquelon. She will perhaps write, we hope, a new page in the history of the sporting event of the archipelago.

Marie-Paule Vidal and Jérome Anger followed the athlete in his training.
