Created in 1994 on the initiative of elected officials from the Mutualité sociale agricole du Cher, the Rural Employment Solidarity Association (Aser) celebrated its thirty years of existence last Friday.

It was on the site of the Brune arboretum, in Mehun-sur-Yèvre, that the association’s employees welcomed the public to present their activities, their backgrounds and their talents. The association contributes to the socio-professional inclusion of people in precarious situations. It is an actor of integration through economic activity and also provides responses to labor needs in the rural areas of Cher and Pithiviers (Loiret).

Integration missions and workshops

Continually evolving since its creation and committed to a quality approach, it has two distinct systems: an intermediary association which offers missions to people looking for work to make them available to companies in need of labor works in the cleaning, gardening, handling or agricultural sectors; integration worksite workshops located in Sancoins, Saint-Florent-sur-Cher and Pithiviers for carrying out maintenance work on natural spaces and green spaces, in Veaugues for vineyard work in Sancerrois and Menetou-Salon, in Dun-sur-Auron to support the maintenance and cleaning of premises professions.

As part of these two schemes, employees, recruited for a maximum period of two years, develop technical skills and regain self-confidence.

These five projects enabled one hundred and ten people to access employment in 2023.
