New price scales for the waste incentive fee were adopted this Monday evening by members of the Saint-Dié community council. No major changes for residents of the 55 municipalities in the sector, excluding Fave-Meurthe-Galilée where prices remain the same.

«On goes and aller crescendo»

The only modification compared to the first half of the year, a variable part, already in place for residents of the Fave-Meurthe-Galilée sector, has been added; it represents 5% of the overall price. Ultimately, this percentage may be increased. “We are going to go from strength to strength,” explains Kévin Viry, director of the Agglo’s waste service. “We don’t yet know if people will react, if they will pay attention to sorting. » For example, the saving will currently only be a few cents, although this may change. An additional lift of a 140 liter bin costs, for example, 0.47 cents.

A slight drop for Fave-Meurthe-Galilée

On the side of the old Fave-Meurthe-Galilée com’com, things are moving a little more. On the same typology as the price list of the 55 other municipalities, this one however obtains a higher incentive percentage: 15%. “In this sector, sorting actions are more anchored. People have been sorting and putting garbage in the compost for almost 10 years,” continues Kévin Viry. A conclusion which pushed the waste service to lower prices. Concretely, the subscription for a single person, which was €111 until now, increases to €108. The same goes for households of 2 to 3 people, whose subscription increases from €158 to €153 and from €215 to €208 for families of four or more people.

” A little bit late “

For people who have not yet received their baccalaureates, Claude George, the president of the Agglo, affirms: “Residents who are not ready will not be penalized, there will be no fines. We will accept that there are adjustments. We will help those who have not understood, by inviting them to contact the service again. »

And added that “we are a little bit late, because it is impossible to implement perfectly in 6 months. The sooner it’s ready, the better. But there is no time limit,” continues the president of the Agglo, who should communicate as soon as the legislative elections are over on the issue.
