In more than ten years, debt per capita has increased in Essonne

The debate around the 2025 state budget is not a long, quiet river. The departmental councils are standing up to the approximately 2.2 billion euros in efforts requested of them by the government. For the president of the association of Departments of , François Sauvadet, 85 territories could find themselves in a state of “near bankruptcy”. In more detail, last year Essonne had a per capita debt of around 786 euros. This is 90 euros more than in 2012. Finally, next year, the Department should contribute 27.2 million euros to the state budget.
