This Sunday, November 17, at 5:42 p.m., firefighters responded to a road accident, on the D900, near Apt. The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old young man, lost control of his vehicle and hit the rearview mirror of a van. Seriously injured, he was transported to Apt hospital.

Seven firefighters, three vehicles and the Samu were on site.

Cabin of heavy goods vehicle catches fire

Another accident occurred in on November 17, an hour earlier. It was 4:46 p.m. when the firefighters were called to a fire on the Morières-lès- motorway area. The cabin of a heavy goods vehicle, parked 50 m from the service station, caught fire. The truck driver, a man in his thirties, was burned on the forearms and transported to the Avignon hospital center.

The eleven firefighters dispatched to the scene were unable to contain the fire at the cabin. The truck, which was transporting potatoes, was completely destroyed by flames.

During the intervention, onlookers present in the area were sheltered and traffic disrupted.
