Metropolis of Tours. Change announced for waste collection this week

Of the temperatures around 30°C, even 32°C are announced this week in Tours and its metropolis. Due to the expected high temperatures, the afternoon selective collection (yellow lidded bin) of Monday June 24, and at least until Thursday June 27is shifted.

A collection carried out at night and not in the afternoon

This collection will be carried out from 7:30 p.m. instead of 12:30 p.m.for the municipalities usually collected in the afternoon: Chambray-les-Tours, Joué-lès-Tours, Saint-Avertin, Tours Nord, Tours Sud, the Beaujardin district (Tours), La Riche, Saint-Cyr-sur- Loire, Notre-Dame-d’Oé, Mettray and La Membrolle-sur-Choisille.

It is recommended to leave bins out during the evening, as collection is likely to end at 2am.

Change also in recycling centers

Moreover, from Tuesday 25 and until Sunday June 30the recycling centers of Tours Nord (la Milletière), Fondettes (La Haute Limougère), La Riche (La grange David) and Saint-Avertin (Les Aubuis) are adapting their schedules:

• Tuesday to Saturday – open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Sunday – open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
