IN PICTURES – Creuse farmers take action this Sunday evening

The farmers are mobilized this Sunday, November 17 in Creuse. At the call of the FDSEA and the JA, they protest against the free trade agreement that could be signed between the European Union and the Mercosur countries during the G.20 summit which is being held on November 18 and 19 in Brazil. As a sign of protest, they covered the signs of the communes of the department with a black tarpaulin bearing the inscription “no to Mercosur“.

Actions everywhere in Creuse

Since 8 p.m., farmers have been leading actions in several dozen municipalities of the department. This time, it's not about to return the entrance and exit signs like a year ago but to cover them. This Sunday evening, there are around ten mobilized in the Guéret and Saint-Vaury sector. They surround all the roundabout signs in Guéret with black thread, then they put up a white poster to say their opposition to Mercosur. On the Aubusson side there are around fifty doing the same thing.
