AS Muret: the season ends with new prospects

the essential
AS Muret football has just ended an irregular season in terms of results, but the future looks different with the direction taken by the new management team.

The sporting results demonstrated the direction to take to find the club which was one of the beacons of the region: insist on internal training! With Pascal Sempé the general manager, the die is cast. The positive, the headlines remained in Regional 1. The reserve moved up to Regional 2. The U20s brilliantly finished 2nd in a high-level Pool. The potential of the U18s ultimately allows 11 players to be released who will be able to apply for Regional 2. The work of the U16s to U18s is effective, the agreement between educators is in place.

In-depth work

For the other categories, the groundwork continues. The 2011 generation is a great hope and can serve as a standard for the future. The Academy is structured so that young Muretains have the feeling of preparing a progressive sporting trajectory in a healthy environment close to the professional.

The management team around president Serge Baronchelli is delighted with the turn the technical staff is taking to perpetuate the values that sport conveys. These values were found during the 120 years of the club. On the historic grounds of Clément Ader Park, the party brought together old and young people to celebrate this anniversary. The former glories hosted ball tennis on the park’s city stadium. U12 and U13 meetings with TFC and an U14 match against TFC put the young people in the spotlight. A gala meeting with Éric Carrière, Olivier Candelon, Franck Saffon and other veterans on the ground or not, such as Dominique Arribagé, Philippe Dallard, Stéphane Audard, former presidents.

The aperitif allowed us to remember past years with nostalgia.

The evening continued with a meal in the presence of Mayor André Mandement, departmental councilor Jérôme Bouteloup, elected and former elected officials, and the president of the League Arnaud Dalla Pria. An encouraging closing to prepare for the season on solid foundations, with partners, the town hall and the departmental council.
