Deanery from Colomby (Manche), Jeanne Hébert, otherwise called “ Granny Jeanne », whispered the Sunday November 10, 2024on hundredth candlein the community hall of his village along with his family reunited for the occasion.
All his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren made the trip from Yvetot-Bocage, Brix, Barneville-Carteret, Touraine, Ain and even Burgundy.
Happy reunions
From 7 months to 100 years, almost all ages were representedaround the table to celebrate this unique event .
Enough to give a boost to Mamie Jeanne and all the members of her family, well aware that if these reunionhave been full of joy and emotion it's because they took place around an exceptional grandmother.
Since 1953 on his farm
Mamie Jeanne was born and lived in Colomby all her life.
Elle has lived since 1953 In to close where her two daughters, Annick and Chantal, grew up, and where her four grandchildren spent many Sundays playing in the attic or to go for walks has the rear of the tractor in the “caches”, under the complicit eye of Grandpa Pierre. Today, her nine great-grandchildren occasionally accompany Jeanne to give grain to chickenset steal an egg.
Unfailing health
Grandma Jeanne, she’s a hell of a grandma that we love from generation to generation. But be careful, if you tease her, she might well make you “suck the mouse”, a game invented between the grandmother and her grandchildren in a sort of challenge to resistance .
The grandchildren have all been there and believe them, it hurts the wrist!
This exceptional longevityis certainly due to unfailing healthbut also tohis temperament. It’s hard to find a centenarian who looks so young!
