The Ygosse General Assemblies follow one another and are similar both in terms of professionalism and excellence. Last week, in the columns of Le Petit Journal, it was the Sky Club, this Saturday, November 16, it's the turn of the Hiking Club. In front of more than sixty members and in the presence of the mayor of the town accompanied by municipal councilors, Jean-Baptiste Billy president of the Landes Territorial Committee of the FFME and Yannik Purgues representative of the Departmental Youth Service, at the 'Commitment and to the sports of the Landes which were greeted and thanked, this elective AG will open. The current Steering Committee, made up of 9 members, will also salute the commitment and work of the woman who was the president of this club for 32 years and who is named Honorary President. Marie-France Duboscq wanted to hand over the reins, but everyone will remember the good times and the memories evoked.
Moral activity reportThe year 2024 saw 53 FFME licensees and 103 hikers, memberships expected to increase for 2025. The technical team, made up of 16 members, supervises the outings: • Ski-hiking – snowshoeing: 91 participants and 5 outings carried out. • Mountain: 10 outings and 298 participants. • Plain: 213 participants and 6 outings. Note the integration of young people and children into the Via Ferrata programming. The multi-activity discovery sessions (ski mountaineering, mountain safety, discovery via Ferrata, orientation) totaled 93 participants over 5 outings. They benefited from aid from the National Sports Agency and the Associative Life Development Fund. Despite wet and windy weather, the hiking – mountain biking festival in May brought together its fans and, 2024 being an Olympic year, the CRY carried the rings to the Pyrenean peaks. In total: 21 events, 32 mountain and themed outings which brought together 602 participants, and the club's list of achievements included 31 summits including the peak of Vallibierna in Spain at 3067 m.
Trained management The organization of training sessions via refresher modules enabled 9 mountain initiators to renew their federal certificate and the entire team of 16 supervisors validated their training.
Financial reportDetailed item by item, the financial account displays a balanced situation and a positive balance of €1,541 for the 2024 season. Thanks to the municipality for the annual subsidy paid, to the merchants and artisans of the village for their participation and to Kiki for all the arrangements grant application files. This external financing makes it possible to offer members attractive prices, to renew equipment and to develop security points. The moral and financial reports are approved.
Project and budget 2025Training modules are planned (manager, initiator, security) and in March, the entire technical team will undergo field training. Equipment purchasing and maintenance positions are planned. The hiking festival will take place on Thursday May 1st on the same model as the previous year: open to all and free. The 2025 plan includes traditional ski-hiking-snowshoeing outings, including sessions with children and the organization of weekends. For summer outings, the forecast calls for the Jer peak and a stay in the Jura from June 7 to 14 and Andorra from June 21 to 28. For 2026, a big project (budget) is being considered over a weekend in Corsica.
Prices 2025 The annual membership costs €76, the discovery license at €5, bus journeys at €17 (free for under 18s). All club members are affiliated with the FFME.
Technical informationThe club provides free equipment: rackets, crampons, safety equipment, harnesses, helmets, etc. Information concerning all hikes is communicated by WhatsApp, registrations must be made 10 days before the outing by email [email protected] or by telephone on 06 26 29 97 86. As a reminder, 3 level groups are established: A of 700 to 600 m, B 1000 m and C 1300 m and beyond. All the information will appear on the calendar which will be distributed in January and is available on http://randoygos.blog4ever.com.
Renewal of the Steering Committee and the officeOf the 14 applications received, all are validated by show of hands. The elected office is composed of François Moussu de Luglon (president), Christian Larrouy d'Ygos (deputy president), Christiane Dagrau known as Kiki d'Ygos (secretary), Aline Claverie de Saint-Pierre du Mont (deputy secretary), Francis Laborde d’Ygos (treasurer) and Sophie Persillon de Campet (assistant treasurer). A geographical distribution of members whose influence extends beyond the municipality. All that will remain is to renew our thanks to all the volunteers, to the benefactors, donors, members of the technical team who are responsible for finding all the circuits, to the minibus drivers and to all the walkers.
