We left the Blues, like a few courageous people present in Saint-Denis on Thursday evening, with a bitter taste, between disappointment, frustration and even anger, after the pathetic spectacle delivered against Israel (0-0), to find them again on Sunday in Milan in the fabulous setting of San Siro. Two rooms, two atmospheres and, we hope, a completely different French team.
To close a gloomy 2024, marked by a semi-final at the Euro without ever having thrilled the French public with a boring game to death, the public expects the Blues to be conquering, incisive and much more involved than in the doldrums of Saint- Denis. And if Deschamps' men, who only have two world champions (Kanté and Pavard) left in his group, could give a little pleasure, that wouldn't be too much to ask.
