A team dedicated to information on the ground

In parallel with the preparatory studies for the start of the work, a team of liaison officers was set up to inform and explain to local residents, whether individuals or professionals. Their mission is to answer their questions and guarantee fluid communication with the Operations Department. Providing information in a clear and rational manner is essential to creating a close link with the population.
After a year in the field, our three liaison officers, spread across different sectors, met more than 10,000 local residents interested in the project, including nearly 2,000 traders and business leaders.

Regular information meetings

In the fall of 2023 and the beginning of June 2024, stakeholders close to the sector affected by the Montpellier Western Bypass were invited to information meetings. These meetings made it possible to take stock of the progress of the project, its schedule and to answer questions. These meetings, rich in exchanges, take place in a caring state of mind and a participatory approach.

Many advances, particularly for public transport

Land requirements have now been adjusted, the works have been defined and land acquisitions have begun.
The COM, responding to concrete mobility issues, will integrate reserved lanes for public transport in order to diversify the uses of the platform and connect to other mobility solutions (tram, bustram, etc.) near the interchange points .
The level of definition of the project is therefore advanced, which has made it possible to move on to the regulatory stage of the plot investigation (carried out last April), while the environmental authorization file should be examined by fall 2025 for work to begin in early 2026.
