EFS Tarbes: an exhibition, a donation, a massage and dance

Blood donation day encouraged a large number of Tarbes residents to donate to the winter garden at 411 (arsenal district).

It must be said that the EFS of Tarbes and the blood donor association 65 did things well.

An exhibition of photographs and paintings created by members of the Tarbes railway workers’ association to watch during the donation, a country dance demonstration offered by Passion Country 65 during the snack and a massage corner thanks to Marie-Noelle Sorde.

“This day must be attractive for donors” explains Doctor Marie-José Pommier, director of the EFS in Tarbes.

“Blood reserves are still low. A sufficient supply should contain bags for around 14 days. However, today we only have enough for 9. This day helps us achieve that.”

And the recipe works. As of 5 p.m., 74 people have donated blood. People of all ages, from all backgrounds have made this possible. We sign up.

We go with Doctor Pommier or Doctor Thomas Lavoinne, we make the donation around the exhibition, we have a snack while watching a show and a little massage.

“We are satisfied with the number of donors this day” concludes Marie-José Pommier.

“Each donation will allow us to save three lives. It’s great. It’s a real boost for the sick. We hope that donors will continue to flock to the EFS in Tarbes or during one of our meetings -you in town.”
