Closed since the beginning of October, the Mas-de-Balan path has Nimes (Gard) will finally reopen to traffic. The municipality confirmed the information this Friday, November 15, 2024.

A precise direction of traffic

After several weeks of work, traffic will again be authorized on this traffic lane from the early hours of the day, Tuesday November 19, 2024.

This traffic axis will only be accessible in the downward direction between the rue Rouget de Lisle and the route from Alès.

A contraflow cycle lane will be tested in the coming weeks.

Work much needed

The work was launched urgently at the beginning of last October. A fence wall belonging to a riverside property threatened to collapse at any moment, on the way to Mas-de-Balan.

« Consolidation work of the wall concerned will be completed this Monday, November 18, 2024,” assured the city of Nîmes, in a press release.

The path of Tire-Cul will be passable in one direction “uphill” between the road to Alès and the place Paul-Valéry.

The two lanes of traffic remain, in all cases, prohibited to all traffic vehicles. more than 3.5 tonnes.
