After the major mobilization at the start of 2024, farmers are returning to the path of mobilization. The FNSEA, and the Young Farmers, the main unions in the profession, launched a national call for mobilization lasting several weeks from Monday November 18. The Bas-Rhin prefecture has detailed the disruptions to be expected on the roads.
The mobilized farmers will leave their farms around 12 p.m. to get to the Europe point in Strasbourg. A large gathering point, alongside German farmers, is planned from 3 p.m. “Traffic difficulties are expected along their entire route”explains the prefecture, which lists the axes where traffic may be disrupted.
- To the North : on the A35 North from Seltz; on the A340 and the A4 from Haguenau and Brumath. “The two processions then join on the M35 from Bischheim and arrive via the RN4 at the entrance to Strasbourg. They then take the Rhine road to the Pont de l'Europe in Strasbourg”specifies the prefecture.
- To the West : a procession from Saverne will join the North procession at the M35 near Cronenbourg.
- South : on the RD1083 from Ebersheim towards the RN353 at Fegersheim, then towards Strasbourg via the Rhine port and the Pont de l'Europe. “This procession will be joined by farmers from the cantons of Molsheim and Strasbourg-Campagne near Fegersheim. The Europe Bridge will be completely blocked on the French part (half of the bridge), in both directions of traffic,” announces the prefecture.
The Bridge to Europe will be completely blocked in both directions of traffic. The demonstration is scheduled to end at 9 p.m.
