Unable to leave each other despite a stormy relationship for 12 years, two women appeared before the Tarbes court for mutual violence.

A grueling trial for the two defendants placed under judicial supervision, forced by the courts to no longer have contact for several months. A ban that they nevertheless defied as the distance was unbearable for them. However, if they have experienced tumultuous periods since their meeting, tensions reached their peak in November 2023. “You were considering separating and had discussed it one evening between you,” introduced the president of the court. But the next morning, a violent argument broke out between the two women. The insults and blows rained down for 20 minutes until one grabbed a knife to threaten the other, and one of their relatives separated them. At the hospital, one of the two even denounced acts of rape by her partner which turned out to be slanderous. “We were in a relationship made toxic by the drugs we were taking,” they explained before asking the judges to lift this ban on contact to resume a life together.

If the court granted the request, both were sentenced to 8 months in prison with a probationary suspension of 2 years. They have an obligation to receive treatment.
