THE farmers of Oise are still angry. After several demonstrations on the highways at the start of the year, the department's farmers and breeders are returning to the fight for better working conditionsby organizing several strike operations.
Recently, they had taken down the road signs at the entrance to several towns in Beauvaisis.
“We’re going to press where it hurts”
But from this Thursday, November 14, 2024, farmers will attack radars on the roads of the Oise. “We are calling for a covering of all radars of the department,” announced Régis Desrumeaux, the departmental president of the FDSEA, France Blue Picardy.
Devices that flash speeding will therefore be covered from today. “It’s symbolic, we estimate that the state is making us lose moneythat we cannot get things to materialize, we only have promises,” denounces the farmers’ representative.
Demonstration in Beauvais next Monday
“We will also press where it hurts. We really have this impression that the State today doesn’t care about us.”
The Oise farmers' unions, the JA and the FDSEA, have already announced the date of their next demonstration. It will take place on Monday November 18 next, in the streets of Beauvais, notably boulevard Amyot d'Inville, from 3 p.m.
