The estimate was made by a departmental heritage inventory manager. He went to the church to take a “floor to ceiling” inventory of the building, including the objects of worship and the furniture. On this occasion, the three church bells were cleaned and dated, the oldest dating back to the beginning of the 19th century.

A complaint was filed with the Figeac gendarmerie after the burglary. The stolen religious objects have since been replaced. The bishop of Cahors even went to Bagnac-sur-Célé for a religious ceremony of forgiveness and consecration of these new objects.
