In Vendée, a man airlifted to after leaving the road at Mont des Alouettes

The 76-year-old man was classified as seriously injured after the accident which occurred this Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Les Herbiers (Vendée). He fell down the road against a tree.

An emblematic site of the Vendée, the Mont des Alouettes and its bends can be tricky for motorists. This Wednesday, November 13, a 76-year-old man was the victim of an accident on the slopes overlooking Les Herbiers.

Incline intervention

It was around 2 p.m. when the alert was given. Seven firefighters from the Herbiers rescue center immediately went to the scene. They discovered the car which had fallen below the 160 road, against a tree.

On-site medical care

With all the required precautions, they provide medical care to the victim. Classified as serious, the man was then transported to Nantes University Hospital by the Samu helicopter. During the emergency response, traffic was reduced to one lane.
