FFF at Rock In Evreux!

In September 1990, the group found its final team. In addition to the two founding members, we find Krishoo, a drummer from the West Indies, Yarol Poupaud on guitar, and Philippe Herpin, nicknamed Pinpin, former member of the group Marquis de Sade, on saxophone. We tell you their story.

Between Funk and Rock: the notoriety of FFF

The group attracted attention during the Transmusicales de Rennes in 1990, where they were noticed by columnist Philippe Conrath. Shortly after, they signed a contract with the Epic label, a subsidiary of Sony. In March 1991, after sending a demo of several songs to different producers, FFF attracted the interest of Bill Laswell, an influential figure on the New York scene, projecting them to the forefront.

FFF returns!

After 23 years of absence and with their fifth album, I Scream, the Parisian group rediscovers its unique blend of funk and rock. During this long break, the members certainly followed their own projects, but remained true to their values. Those who sang about the multicultural district of Barbès at the end of the 1990s are now denouncing racism in the song All Right. Anti-racism remains “a fundamental value” for this collective which has always sought to unite white and black music. Join this union on Saturday June 29 on the Rock In Evreux stage.

See you at the Évreux racecourse on June 28 and 29, 2024!
