A minor was allegedly the victim of a 26-year-old man who was arrested for pimping in Quebec on Wednesday morning.
It was on October 23 that the investigation by the Anti-Pimping Unit of the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) began.
According to the police, the events took place in the Sainte-Foy—Sillery—Cap-Rouge area and caused a minor victim.
The suspect was met by investigators on Wednesday and is expected to appear at the Quebec courthouse in the afternoon, on various charges related to pimping.
Well known in police circles, the man in question has several records of fraud, misdeeds and criminal harassment, according to our information. He is also awaiting trial in a threats case.
“A search is also underway at his place of residence,” said Sandra Dion, spokesperson for the SPVQ.
The individual could have caused other victims, underlines the police force, which invites the public to send it any information that would help advance the investigation.
