This Wednesday, November 13, Mike Lamandé is on his way to the summit of Puy de Dôme to photograph the sea of clouds.
Before the fog and snow, this amateur photographer from Clermont, aged 35, captured, at the end of October 2024, magnificent landscapes of Roches Tuilière and Sanadoire, towards Lake Guéry.
Perfect weather conditions
His “autumn-colored” images have been liked by hundreds of people on social networks (to discover here). He tells them to us.
“It’s still so beautiful. You have to be attentive to the weather conditions, there wasn't much wind, the leaves remained on the trees, with exceptional diversity of foliage. I was on a known spot, overlooking the Fontsalade valley with a big slope at my feet but where you have a magnificent panoramic view. »
It's a wonder year after year, it's immutable. I still have this child's outlook on what nature offers us.
“I am a misanthrope”
Mike describes himself as an enlightened amateur. “I like photographing animals, wildlife, climatic phenomena (sea of clouds, milky ways, snow, etc.). I am a misanthrope. I still have a nose in the sky. »
Always with his nose in the sky, Mike wants to show people what they can't (want) to see. Auvergne is full of these landscapes, you might as well take advantage of them.
