After the death of three children at their home on Tuesday, November 12, in Taninges in Haute-Savoir, the gendarmes are still looking for their mother, a 45-year-old woman suspected of having committed the act. An investigation has been opened for intentional homicide.
The three children, a 13-year-old girl and two boys aged 11 and two, were stabbed to death. It is the father of the last child who discovered this horror scene when returning home at midday. His companion, Déborah, had disappeared. Her first two children were the result of a previous relationship with another man.
Déborah, who works as a teacher, left a letter behind her, undoubtedly to explain her actions. She is presented as depressed. One of her neighbors remains incredulous at this tragedy.
“We don't know what to say, we don't know what happened in Déborah's head. We don't know what to say. Deborah, she's my daughter's age. They took their communion together, they were the same year, she says, we were surprised because she has beautiful children. We don't know what to think, we don't know what happened.”
Around sixty gendarmes supported by a helicopter are searching for this woman around Taninges, in a mountainous area where the nights are currently very cold.
