The fatal accident occurred last Thursday, November 7 in the Chartreuse massif.

A face will be missing next summer near Ceillac (Hautes-Alpes), when the first paragliders take off from the take-off site, overlooking the village.

Nicolas Gubian, 37, a paragliding instructor at the resort for four years, died this Thursday, November 7 during a wingsuit accident, when he had just taken off from the summit of Granier, in the Chartreuse massif.

An eclectic that will leave a void

Tragic news for his colleagues, who portray a calm and composed man, “much loved by the trainees precisely for this calm that he transmits”. By all accounts, Nicolas Gubian was a professional committed to the safety of his students.

He was also an eclectic, full-time sportsman, but also a musician and a great fan of cooking. A paragliding and diving instructor, he was able to jump from violin to accordion, guitar and clarinet.

An unclassifiable man who will leave a void behind him, and for his colleagues who will probably have a thought for him when they redeploy their veil.
