The Lot delegation

A delegation from the Regional Natural Park – UNESCO Global Geopark of the Causses du Quercy had the pleasure of participating in the Congress of Regional Natural Parks of France, organized this year by the National Federation and the Narbonnaise Regional Natural Park in the Mediterranean from 23 to 25 October, in Narbonne. The delegation led by Catherine Marlas, president of the Parc-Géoparc and president of the association of Regional Natural Parks of Occitanie, also included the vice-presidents Catherine Prunet and Michel Laverdet, the director Nils Brunet, Christian Tschocke, president of the scientific committee and foresight, Isabelle Sahagun, project manager to the general director of services of the Lot Department, as well as two project managers, all mobilized to carry the voice and projects of the Parc-Géoparc des Causses du Quercy. The congress, under the theme “learning together”, brought together professionals, elected officials, partners, as well as several foreign delegations. This meeting was an opportunity to discuss common issues and share innovative solutions developed by the different Parks to protect and enhance our territories. The quality of the organization allowed for many moments of meeting. Participants were able to attend plenary sessions, various thematic workshops and discovery tours highlighting the richness of the Narbonnaise landscapes. The “Parks initiatives market” was also a highlight of the congress: this space dedicated to exchanges made it possible to highlight the innovative initiatives and projects carried out throughout France, affirming the dynamism and inventiveness of Natural Parks regional.
