Saturday November 9 took place the inauguration of the new facilities installed at the Fayet thermal park in Haute-Savoie.

Known for its famous thermal baths, the Fayet thermal park, belonging to the commune of Saint-Gervais, has been given a new beauty thanks to several redevelopment works carried out on the site. Saturday November 9, a guided tour, led by the mayor of Saint Gervais les Bains, Jean Marc Peillex, allowed participants to discover a brand new entrance, and several other new features within the park. The president of the department Martial Saddier and the sub-prefect of Bonneville Rémy Darroux were present for the occasion. Total cost of the work: 1,210,195 euros including tax.

Enhancement of forest heritage and modernization of infrastructure

New developments integrating on the one hand the development of the forest heritage of the park, with the FORETsport project, submitted by the ONF. This project aims in particular to promote outdoor sport and raise awareness about the preservation of wooded areas. And on the other hand, the modernization of the park's infrastructure, including its entrances, parking lots and lighting. Redevelopments completed by the installation of video surveillance and a terminal for camper vans.

This vast redevelopment project benefited from State aid amounting to 647,993 euros, under the “Avenir Montagne Investissement” Fund as part of the Relance Plan. The Haute-Savoie departmental council also joined alongside the municipality as a financial partner.
