Friday, November 8, 2014 at 1:50 p.m., the gendarmes of the Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat brigade quickly went to the scene of a suspected burglary following the call to 17. Arriving at the place called La Grange in Moissannes, the soldiers discovered that 3 individuals had just left the premises on board a vehicle after stealing batteries, a hydraulic jack and rims.
A molested owner
According to initial findings, the individuals allegedly hit the owner who intervened to prevent the theft of a motorcycle.
The vehicle of the fleeing fugitives was quickly spotted and intercepted with the help of the Eymoutiers gendarmes and the Limoges Research Brigade. The occupants were placed in police custody.
Other burglaries in the morning
In the vehicle, in addition to the proceeds of the theft committed in Moissannes, investigators discovered portable electrical equipment and other batteries. During the hearings and investigations, it appeared that these three men had committed in the morning, two other burglaries in Saint-Martin-Terressus and Sauviat-sur-Vige. The victims identified the objects belonging to them.
The three defendants were summoned to answer for their actions before the courts on January 31, 2025. All the stolen items were returned to the three victims.
