The driver arrested Thursday June 13, following a chase by the gendarmerie, at the Amblainville tollbooth, on the A16, was driving without a license, without insurance and under the influence of drugs. After being referred by the Beauvais public prosecutor’s office, he was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment, 10 of which were suspended, on Saturday June 15. In the end, he was imprisoned.

Thursday June 13, a chase ended, near Amblainville, near Méru, in Oise, with “two shots by the police without directly injuring the driver who was hit by shards of glass“, informed Frédéric Trinh, the public prosecutor of Beauvais.

Following this chase, the driver was arrested and taken into custody by the Méru search brigade, for “refusal to comply” as well as to verify their identity.

During this, “investigations revealed that he was driving without a driving license, without insurance and after having used narcotics“, specifies the prosecutor. “He admitted to having wanted to escape the control of the gendarmes for this reason.

Taken into police custody, the individual, aged 41, is “known to the courts“for similar facts,”traffic offenses and use of narcotics“.

He was brought before the Beauvais public prosecutor’s office this Saturday, June 15, then sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment, including 10 months with a probationary suspension of two years with an obligation of care“, reports the Beauvais public prosecutor’s office. He was subsequently incarcerated.
