Since 1984, Food Banks have been fighting against food insecurity in . On the occasion of this fortieth anniversary at the national level, the Morbihan Food Bank, which celebrated its 35th anniversary last year, will open its doors this Tuesday, November 12, 2024 rue Duténos-Le-Verger in (Morbihan) .

170 tonnes of products distributed in 2023

The objective is to allow the general public to discover how food aid works and the daily lives of its volunteers: from collection to distribution, and to make them want to get involved. Remember that, in Morbihan in 2023, 170 tonnes of products could be distributed to the 79 partner associations approved in the territory to help more than 18,000 people in precarious situations.

Note that this year, the Morbihan Food Bank will be present in food stores during the national collection from November 22 to 24, 2024. Over the first two quarters of 2024, visits to partner associations continue to increase, with increasingly varied profiles and a marked predominance of young people under 25, but also parents with their babies under three and poor workers.
