Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1, the 20th town hall is organizing a weekend on the memories of Ménilmontant, a neighborhood which welcomed several generations of workers, immigrants, artists and activists, contributing to its multicultural character and protestant.

Conference by Michèle Audin, historian and writer, around her book, La rue des Partants, published by Terres de feu. It will take us back to daily working life at the end of the 19th century and the social evolution of the neighborhood.
Debate screening
Broadcast of the documentary La rue des departants by Gilles Dinnematin, on the residents' fight against gentrification in the 1980s, at the time of the urban renovation of the ZAC Amandiers followed by a round table with Jacques Baudrier, deputy mayor of Paris in charge of housing and the ecological transition of buildings.

Screening of Rouge Ménilmontant (Family Album), documentary by Tangui Perron, historian. The film takes the Paris Commune as its starting point, the red symbol of the worker and revolutionary movement, refers to this combative identity of Ménilmontant. An evocation of the struggles and the memory of the commune with Richard Hamon, great-grandson of a communard, who relates the family and working history since the assassination of his ancestor by the Versaillais.
