The “Israel is Forever” gala will be held this Wednesday, November 13 in Paris, announced this Sunday, November 10, the police prefect, Laurent Nuñez, on BFMTV, while this gathering was the subject of a request for prohibition.
A gala organized by the “Israel is Forever” association will not be banned by the Paris police headquarters and will take place this Wednesday, November 13 in Paris. “I will not ban this demonstration,” said Laurent Nuñez, Paris police prefect, on BFMTV this Sunday, November 10. “I have no reason to do it,” he said.
A controversial invitation
On October 16, LFI MP Thomas Portes asked Laurent Nuñez to ban this event due to the context of the conflict in Gaza in which the Jewish state is engaged.
“While the Israeli government is carrying out genocide in Gaza, I ask the Paris police chief to ban the 'Israel is Forever Gala', planned for Paris on November 13 in the presence of Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich who finds it moral to let the inhabitants of Gaza die of hunger,” he declared on his X account.
“The comments of this minister were condemned by France and I finally understand that he will not be present,” underlines the police prefect.
