mistral, rain and falling temperatures from this Sunday

After several days of good weather and mild weather for the period, the weather will change significantly over the next few days. Indeed, a surge of cold winter air (the first of the season) will hit the country and will have consequences as far as the South and . The mistral will therefore make its return this Sunday but will strengthen significantly between Monday and Tuesday. Gusts could reach 80 km/h in the Rhône valley. But instability will be present on Tuesday with rain expected despite the wind and the return of snow to our massifs from 1,200 meters. It will be fleeting because a slight mild spell will arrive on Wednesday and the rain will end up affecting the summit of Ventoux.

The second part of next week promises to be cool for the period, with often overcast skies and intermittent rain. A mild spell could set in over the weekend, with temperatures returning to seasonal norms. The wet weather is nevertheless expected to persist. So a very gloomy week is expected.
