This weekend, the whole of is preparing to celebrate the 106th anniversary of the Armistice of 1918including a ceremony with great pomp on the Champs-Élysées. Only here, to carry out this event, the Police headquarters revealed a list as long as your arm of forbidden streets traffic and parking.

Dozens and dozens of streets affected

From the Sunday 10 November, 24 streets or portions of streets of 8e, 16e et 17e parking will be prohibited. If your preferred vehicle is located in one of these areas, you are therefore politely invited to remove it between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.end time of the ceremony. Are concerned the immense axis of the Champs-Élyséesas well as a number of parallel streets around of garden of the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. And at the same time, even in normal times, do we really want to park in the area?

And unfortunately, when it comes to traffic, the list is even longerwith this time 31 axes affected, in 4 different districts: the 7th, 8th, 16th and 17th. A measure which is unlikely to improve traffic following the establishment of a limited traffic zone throughout the center of Paris at the start of the week… The only good news is that for now, the restriction will not take place that November 11, between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.. 7 short hours of struggle then, but which should end before you have time to say phew. The area concerned extends from Concorde to Porte Maillot, passing through Alma-Marceau, Victor Hugo, Ternes or even the Madeleine.
