Since 2023, the Department of Haute-Garonne has decided to proactively engage in the fight against school bullying, which affects 1 in 10 students. An action plan is deployed in colleges to raise awareness, prevent, and support students, families and educational teams on this issue, in addition to the National Education pHARe program.

The Department is offering you a debate evening on Saturday November 9 at 7:45 p.m. at the Espace Roguet (all audiences from 11 years old)

Film debate on harassment with the screening of short films presented at the international educational film festival (“Reflection” by Sanna de Vries, “Your French is perfect” by Julie Daravan Chea, “Fruits and Vegetables” by Maciej Jakowski, “Je follow you” by Jonatan Etzler, “INKT” by Erik Verkerk and Joost van des Bosch.

« In Haute-Garonne, we have chosen to resolutely commit to the fight against school bullying, because every child has the right to learn and grow in a serene and caring environment. With the ambitious plan, which we carry alongside our associative partners and National Education, we offer establishments and families concrete tools to raise awareness and protect our young people. On this National Day Against School Bullying, I call on everyone to commit with us to eradicate this scourge and make our colleges safe places where we learn with respect and solidarity.”declared Sébastien Vincini, president of the Haute-Garonne Departmental Council.

Assessment of the first year of the departmental plan to combat school bullying:

Catalog of prevention and awareness actions: A catalog of 35 awareness-raising actions, developed in partnership with local associations, has been made available to teachers. Nearly 400 classes in around fifty colleges benefited from these actions. For the 2024-2025 school year, this catalog offers 45 actions carried out by 24 local associations.

Educational guide: 68,000 copies of an educational guide on school bullying were distributed in colleges and Maisons des Solidarités (MDS) to support students, families and teachers in preventing bullying.

Deployment of young volunteers in civic service: In partnership with the Unis-Cité association and National Education, young civic service volunteers trained in issues of school bullying were mobilized in colleges to raise awareness and support students. During the year 2023-2024, 20 colleges welcomed these volunteers, and 24 establishments are participating in this system in 2024-2025.
