Physiotherapists and dentists: where are the under-resourced areas in Haute-?

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes ARS has updated the map of areas eligible for aid for the installation of masseurs-physiotherapists and self-employed dental surgeons as well as non-priority areas subject to the agreement regulation policy.

The zoning has been effective since November 1, 2024, according to the decree issued by the general director of the ARS Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Its validity is 2 years maximum.

For masseurs-physiotherapists

The terms of payment of installation aid are modified. They reach €49,000 paid in 5 installments over 5 years for the takeover of a practice or €34,000 paid in 5 installments over 5 years for installation in an existing practice.

Assistance for maintaining activity is increased to €4,000 per year for 3 years (compared to €3,000 previously). The same goes for welcoming interns: €300 per month (compared to €150 previously).

For dental surgeons

For dental surgeons, the new zoning also came into force on November 1, 2024. It replaces that dating from October 28, 2013. The ARS Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes established, in consultation with the URPS dental surgeons and on advice of the CPR and the CRSA, a new map of territories presenting fragile access to care. This 2024 mapping of very under-resourced areas makes it possible to define the conventional aid which may be granted to practicing dentists or those wishing to set up there.

From January 1, 2025, for non-priority areas, the regulation of the agreement will be applied with the rule of “1 departure for 1 arrival”.

Among the aid available, let us cite the revaluation of aid for installation of €50,000 over 5 years (compared to €25,000 previously) and the revaluation of aid for maintaining activity: €4,000 per year for three years (compared to €3,000 previously).
