The Bleues de la police, in preparation for their future European championship in Germany in 2025, faced the Rouges of the Nîmes Women's Football club (NFF), this week in Gard.
Two matches, a victory everywhere, goals, play and a shared pleasure: the players of the French women's police football team and those of the Nîmes women's football club (200 members) parted ways as good friends, this Thursday evening. The Blues, in every sense of the word, were on training in the Gard capital this week. A gathering intended to prepare for the European Police Championship, which will take place in Germany in June 2025.
On site, the French delegation led by coach Michaël Goncalves was welcomed by the “mister football” from the Nîmes police station, Hervé Peredes. The municipality and the Gard-Lozère District were also there. Or rather both parties.
A victory everywhere, 5-3 then 6-0
Because the Blues twice faced the Reds of the FFNMG (100% women's club) in friendly matches, on the synthetic pitches of the Marcel-Rouvière then Jean-Bouin stadiums. On Wednesday, the police lost 5-3 against the first team of Nîmes, who play in Division 3. The police led 2-1 at half-time, but they were overthrown after the break by notably a hat-trick from Béatrice Kaboré. The other scorers of this first round: Karen Montgénie (double) and Lou Guibert on the French side; Solana Prioron and Fanny Card on the local side.
Tripled and doubled
The next day, Thursday, France Police took their revenge by winning 6-0, this time against the Nîmes reserve team, which plays at Regional 2 level. A hat-trick from Justine Bauduin, a new double from Karen Montgénie (including a penalty) and a goal from Winona Gouezou cemented the blue superiority. Enough to leave Gard with a good working base in view of the Euro.
