Étienne GUYOT, prefect of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, prefect of , prefect of the South-West defense and security zone, announces the appointment of Grégory LECRU, new chief of staff at the prefecture.

Succeeding Justin BABILOTTE, called to other functions, Grégory LECRU, second grade State administrator, was appointed chief of staff in the Official Journal (JO) of October 25, 2024. He will officially take offices Tuesday 12 November 2024.

Holder of a master's degree in public law and a university degree in criminal sciences, he worked for several years within the National Gendarmerie, notably as squadron leader, commanding the departmental company of Pierrelatte and as captain, commanding the squadron of mobile gendarmerie of Mont-Saint-Aignan.

Since October 2021, he has served as Deputy Commissioner of the Republic for the South Province to the High Commissioner of the Republic in New Caledonia. Previously, he held the positions of sub-prefect of the district of Fontenay-le-Comte in Vendée, secretary general of the prefecture of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and chief of staff of the prefecture of Aude . A course allowing Grégory LECRU to have a very good knowledge of security subjects.
