Wam Park 77 in Fontainebleau, the leisure center with giant slides and returning water games

Looking for a water park on the outskirts of Paris? The fun space with games and beach reopens its doors in June 2024 for the summer season. Tested and validated, we introduce you to the Wam Park Fontainebleau in 77 at La Grande Paroisse lake, a leisure center with multiple water activities: ski lift, Water Jump, inflatable aquatic structures, floating terraces, canoeing and pedal boats. To feel like you’re on vacation without leaving Ile-de-France, this is the ideal spot to have fun with family and friends.

What if we went to refresh ourselves with a day on the water? Wam Parkthis is the name of this leisure center with multiple water activities which has something to delight all audiences looking for fun entertainment and freshness in this summer 2024.

Located at the gates of Paris in Seine et Marnethis spot 20 minutes from Fontainebleau offers a whole range of activities for young and old, accessible to all.

Whether you are looking for relaxation, sport, walks, thrills or even good plans to stay cool and enjoy the heat without suffering, there is something for everyone. On arrival, note that if you come by car, you will have to pay €5 for parking, €2 for pedestrians.

We then arrive in a real green setting. Imagine a superb lake surrounded by trees and huge areas of lawn to rest wherever you want. In the center, we find the reception for purchases of all activities and the snack. In addition to aquatic activities, the base has several play areas. Games for children, beach volleyball and pétanque are available.

Before starting, we go to reception to choose our activities and times. The smart ones will have made their purchases online to save time and spend quickly. The activities are limited to a certain number of people, so we advise you to arrive early to have the choice of your times. Especially since there are fewer people on the activities in the morning, it’s a good plan to have peace and quiet.

On the program of activities:

  • Of water ski lift for young and old: the wake park is equipped with two water ski lifts, a twin pulley, ideal for beginners and a large 5-pylon ski lift, which can accommodate more than 30 people at a time. The twin-pulley version for beginners and children works with a cable is a line stretched between two pylons which are each installed on a bank of the lake. For the adult version, hold on tight, it’s mind-blowing!

  • THE water Jump, water slides : What is Water Jump? And many slides of all kinds for sliding from 7 years old. There are ten tracks of different levels on each side of the structure on the water and two diving boards of 4 and 6 meters. Half of the trails are descended with buoys and the other half on the stomach or back. The vest is compulsory for children under 10 and optional for older children. Helmets are compulsory for everyone and supervised by swimming instructors.

  • THE Water GamesTHE inflatable water play course : imagine a Ninja Warrior in easy mode and you’re good. Open every day in July and above plus Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in September, this play area will have a blast. Trampolines, climbing walls, jumping or sliding towers, human catapults or even obstacle courses, there’s something to have fun in the water. Accessible from 5 years old for children who know how to swim, it is subject to a mandatory life jacket provided. Count on €11 per hour or €18 per two hours. Or opt for the day pass for €26. We admit it, after an hour, we had worked hard on getting up and sliding, the break was deserved.

  • The Paddle : no need to be a surfing expert, the puddle is accessible to everyone and allows you to enjoy hamburgers on the water.

  • The canoe : another new feature for 2022, Wam Park Fontainebleau now welcomes canoeing and kayaking for amateurs or seasoned athletes. Also on the menu, the Pedalo : the pedal boat also awaits you at the gates of Paris for a good time out on the water with family or friends of 1 to 5 people. The lake is very large and the space is really nice, there is something to jump, swim and spin along the water in complete serenity.

You can arrive and settle down with your picnic but if you don’t want to take the hassle, the snack has enough to allow you to have lunch and snacks. Burgers, friends, wraps and even fish & chips are on the menu.
