Diversidays, the leading national association for equal opportunities, announces the first edition of DéClics Numériques in Reunion, in partnership with France Travail and French Tech. This program, 100% online and free, aims to facilitate professional retraining and access to professions in digital demand in the overseas territories.
In August 2024, with nearly 3,500 employees spread across 500 establishments, the digital sector in Reunion currently represents 1.8% of commercial employment and is in full development. Indeed, this sector is actively recruiting, with 1,350 annual hires (including 1 in 2 on permanent contracts, compared to 1 in 5 across all sectors), concentrated in telecommunications, programming and IT consulting.
Jobs under pressure, such as systems engineer, data engineer and after-sales service technician, are struggling to be filled (source France Travail). Déclics Numériques could thus meet these needs and offer participants stable employment opportunities in a booming sector.
For Iris Avital, Director of Development and Programs at Diversidays: “The jobs of the future must concern all French men and women, in mainland France, and in the overseas territories, whatever their singularities. With DéClics Numériques, we are trying to provide a concrete solution to the obstacles that we may encounter on a path of professional retraining towards digital: by showing other faces of the sector, by informing, by promoting the development of skills and orientation towards local trainers and recruiters Our challenge is to pave the way for all. talents in the professions of tomorrow.”
Since its launch, DéClics Numériques has supported more than 13,000 job seekers and people undergoing retraining. According to an impact study carried out by the Statistics Department of France Travail, in the 18 months following their participation, 40% of beneficiaries continue training (compared to 20% for a comparable sample) and 62% obtain lasting employment (compared to 58 % for the rest of the sample).
This edition will take place online from November 27 to December 6, offering an intensive skills-building course with around thirty workshops spread over 10 days. The program is free and does not impact the rights of job seekers, offering a real chance of professional reintegration in the digital sector.
