In the first constituency of Isère, the seat has been vacant since October 9 and the resignation of the ex-LFI, Hugo Prévost, accused of sexist and sexual violence. Since then, this seat has attracted everyone's desire.

This Friday, November 8, Camille Galliard-Minier officially announced, via a press release published on the social network X, her candidacy. “I have always been involved in the territory of the first district of Isère where I was born, where I work and where I live with my children”she explains.

In this document, she recalled her experience as a substitute alongside Olivier Véran in 2017 when he was elected deputy for the 1st constituency of Isère. She will also occupy the seat for two years following his appointment to the government as Minister of Health.

The latter, for his part, announced at the start of the week that he would not run again in this constituency that Hugo Prévost, 25, wrested from him in July.

Camille Galliard-Minet says she is keen to continue her commitment in order to bring together the actors and residents of the region: “I wish to represent and carry the voice of everyone, by being a local MP in direct and permanent contact with the field”, assures the candidate who promises to have “free and clear speech in the National Assembly, open to dialogue and always in the general interest of our country, our region, our department”.

This Wednesday, Amandine Germain, PS departmental councilor for Isère, announced that she would not run for this partial legislative election, leaving room for Lyes Louffok, the LFI candidate to whom she supports.

Camille Galliard-Minier is the fifth to formalize her candidacy for the deputy seat, after those of Lyes Louffok (NFP), Nathalie Béranger (LR), Hervé Gerbi (central bloc) and Rémi Adam (LO). It remains to be known the exact date of this election, which should take place in January 2025.
