The Poitiers public prosecutor indicated this Thursday that the suspect placed in police custody on Tuesday in Paris is indeed the alleged perpetrator of the shooting in Poitiers which cost the life of Anis, 15, on October 31, in the Couronneries district.
A man known to the courts for drug trafficking and violence
“The identity of the person who went to the police and who was taken into custody corresponds to that of the alleged perpetrator of the shooting who was the subject of a search warrant issued by the public prosecutor's office. Poitiers”, specifies the Poitiers prosecutor. He is a 25-year-old man, already known to the courts for drug trafficking and violence.
The suspect will be referred to the Poitiers public prosecutor's office this Thursday to be presented to an investigating judge with a view to opening a judicial investigation for assassination, assassination attempts, possession of a weapon and drug trafficking.
During a search carried out Friday in a home he allegedly occupied, “partial elements of a disassembled weapon, including the stock and the mechanism“, were discovered, as well as seven 22 caliber long rifle ammunition. Eleven shell casings of this caliber were found at the scene of the shooting.
