A violent fire broke out in a pavilion located on rue de la Vallée, in Grandcourt, a village located near Blangy-sur-Bresle, in the district of Dieppe, on Thursday November 7, 2024, shortly before 8:15 p.m.
The burning house
When the Seine-Maritime fire brigade alert processing center received the first call, the house was already completely engulfed in flames. Its occupant, a 72-year-old man, had gotten out.
Seventeen firefighters, aboard five vehicles, converged at the address indicated. They took care of the owner, who was poisoned by the fumes. According to the firefighters, he was in a state of relative emergency. His life prognosis was not in jeopardy when he was transported to the Abbeville hospital center in a fire brigade ambulance.
Two spears in action
During the first aid actions, rescuers powered two hoses to fight the flames, which were devouring the wooden house, made up of a ground floor and one floor. The intervention continued throughout the evening.
The police will determine the cause of this fire, which apparently spread very quickly.
