Child's mother hospitalized
The body was found on Wednesday evening in the bathtub of the bathroom, detailed toAgence France-Presse (AFP) Dominique Puechmaille, prosecutor of Clermont-Ferrand, confirming information from the regional daily The Mountain with whom she evokes the trail of a “family drama”.

The girl's mother was found unconscious and was hospitalized. “I will not communicate further at this stage, the investigations being ongoing”indicated the prosecutor. “For the moment, we have no information on the circumstances” of this tragedy, she clarified to our colleagues at The Mountain.
A family newly settled in the town
Separated from her partner, the mother had been renting this accommodation in Coudes for around two weeks, where she lived with her little daughter, according to the mayor of the town, Laurys Le Marrec.
It was the mother's sister who raised the alarm, worried about not having any news, before the emergency services forced the door of the apartment to enter, he said.
“It’s a family that we didn’t know yet. The little girl was still at school at La Sauvetat”about five kilometers away, he added. The Issoire research brigade is responsible for the investigation.
