Live two lives rather than one! For Alexandra who directs advertising campaigns for jewelry and watch brands in her agency Minesweepersthere is no question of missing out on his other passion: decoration. The trigger? Discovering myself competent, two years ago, on the construction site renovation of his previous houserented in the Paris region. Enough to encourage Alexandra, raised by a decorator mother in Montfort-L'Amaury, to persevere on her new playground: 180 m2 perched on the corner of a Haussmann building in Batignolles, acquired with Jean-Louis, her companion, for their “brood” of five teenagers and young adults.
An interior that goes against homogeneity
The apartment, already renovated, has a plan that suits them, Alexandra repainted the doors and their frames in dense gray to break up its white “total look”. “I hate homogeneity,” says this “storyteller” who, alongside her job as a communicator, created her decorating consultancy called Private house Paris. Baskets brought from Morocco, professional furniture and antique objects give here an ethnic and sophisticated atmosphere.

Alexandra does not refrain from any mixture, bringing to the classic “framework” of the apartment the charm of a still journey where textiles and artisanal fibers from North Africa and stylized exotic bestiary gently heckle moldings, designer pieces and Hungarian point parquet. “I like to showcase the creations of craftsmen or artists, like the plates of my friend Béa Yato and the paintings of Sergio Fiorentino.” A favorite in the form of a tale: “Following the musical notes that sounded from an old convent in Sicily, I ended up in his studio where these two paintings, placed on the ground, were bathed in light…”
