Positive for the Mont-Gargan School

Châteauneuf-la-Forêt. A positive outcome for Escòla dau Mont-Gargan. On Friday October 11, the Escòla dau Mont-Gargan held its annual general meeting in the Bartholdi room. The event brought together a large number of members, local elected officials and supporters. This meeting made it possible to draw up a positive assessment of the year 2023/2024, marked by numerous successes.

One of the highlights of the year was the Mont-Gargan Festival, which was once again a great success. The varied activities, shows and concerts attracted a large audience, contributing to the association's influence in the region. The financial results of the event are also satisfactory, laying a solid foundation to prepare for the 60th festival in 2025. The general assembly made it possible to review the nine commissions of the association, which all presented generally positive results. The music commission continued its efforts to research and interpret traditional repertoire, while the dance commission introduced new learning methods during rehearsals. The costume commission supported the creation of new outfits for the young dancers, and the theater received praise from spectators with the play in Limousin language. Back to basics . The Mont-Gargan site development commission proposed various events and developed partnerships to highlight this emblematic place. Concerning the activities for children, they were very successful, attracting new young people to the association. Finally, the balls, dedicated to the balls of the 18th, contributed to bringing together a good number of local artists and dancers during the year. As for communication, it made it possible to strengthen the group's visibility thanks to an increased presence on social networks and through local partnerships.

The general assembly concluded with the presentation of loyalty badges, rewarding the long-term commitment of certain members of the group.

A new piece and a second album

The Escòla dau Mont-Gargan is now looking to the future with ambitious projects: the acquisition of a podium, the creation of a new play, the development of new dance parts, the release of a second album Gargan Trad and the development of a special program for the 60 e Mont-Gargan Festival.
