Floods in Spain: solidarity is organized in Vaucluse
More than a week after the terrible floods in the south-east of Spain, solidarity with the victims is taking place in Vaucluse. At least 217 people have died in the Valencia region following this episode of heavy rain. Several hundred kilometers from the streets still covered in mud, several municipalities or twinning committees are organizing collections.
- Pertuis : the city is twinned with Utiel near Valence. At least six people died in this town. A Leetchi prize pool has just been launched by the twinning committee. A support concert is in preparation. It will be organized before the end of the year in partnership with the Pertuis conservatory and the Harmonie Durance Luberon.
- Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue: a collection point is in place until Friday November 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Avenue Fossombrone, next to the Marie Mauron school gate. Some targeted products are in demand such as baby milk powder.
- Avignon : you can send your donations to Secours populaire du Vaucluse, 4 rue Mourre
