Tuesday evening, Jean-François Roussemayor of Condom, surrounded by elected officials from Municipal Councilreceived the new inhabitants of the city. Around sixty people present were able to learn about the actions undertaken by the Town Hall and the possibilities offered by the different services. Each of the elected officials was able to present their actions and answer questions from citizens.
“We absolutely want to have a close relationship with the residents” declares the Mayor. “We communicate a lot through social networks, the town hall website and the publication of a biannual magazine which is distributed by the elected officials themselves. The sessions of the Municipal Council are broadcast live on a video channel, and I hold a permanent every Saturday morning at the covered market I am available to residents who can meet me without prior appointment.
In the room, a few questions concerning the circulation of pedestrian streets, cultural and sporting events in summer and winter and the repair of certain streets, to which the mayor and elected officials answered and the dialogue continued during the welcome drink which followed.
A gift awaited the participants. The municipality offered a place for a show of their choice to each new resident who requested one.
