After several weeks in Switzerland, the suspect is back in France. Taha O., suspected of murder of Filipina in September in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris, was handed over to the French authorities. He must be presented to an investigating judge this Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
Suspected of rape and homicide
The 22-year-old Moroccan had been arrested in Geneva on September 24, after several days of tracking. He initially refused extradition. A decision which resulted in a wait of several months before returning to France. Taha O. finally turned around and agreed to be extradited at the end of October.
A judicial investigation has been opened in Paris for rape and homicide.
On September 21, Philippine's lifeless body was found half buried in the Bois de Boulogne. The 19 year old young woman had disappeared the day before without a trace. A hunt was then organized. The affair had plunged Paris-Dauphine University, the young woman's place of study located nearby, into fear. France had been affected by this crime. A demonstration was organized in Paris, where hundreds of people gathered.
